Wapsi Razon Fly Foam Opaque
Wapsi Razor Fly Foam Opaque is a very thin, opaque sheet foam for cutting small wings and posts, winding slim bodies around the hook shank, and building layered forms. Its reduced thickness is useful when a small, light component and a restrained profile are required in a fly pattern.
Construction and use
Choose 0.5 mm for the smallest wings, posts and thin layers, and 1 mm for slightly fuller components. Cut the foam with sharp scissors, a knife or a matching punch. Use controlled, broad thread wraps when tying so the thread does not cut the material; compatible adhesive can join layers when required. The finished fly’s flotation also depends on hook weight, eyes and the rest of the dressing.
