Wapsi Strung Rooster Saddles Natural
Wapsi Strung Rooster Saddles Natural contains natural, soft and broad rooster saddle feathers joined at the base. This format makes individual feathers easy to select at the vise. The broad, flexible fibres build larger fly components with a clear profile and lively movement in the water. Their natural colour produces a subdued, subtly varied appearance.
Construction and use
Use these feathers for streamer wings, tails and sides, as well as for matuka-style flies. They can also be wound as a soft hackle when a pattern needs a fuller outline and mobile fibres. The length and width of the feathers make it possible to match the material to larger fly components. Select a suitable feather before tying and clear loose down from the base.
