Wapsi Thin Skin Mottled Bustard
Wapsi Thin Skin Mottled Bustard is a thin, stretchable, translucent sheet printed with the Mottled Bustard pattern. It has a matte face and a shiny face, while the removable backing supports consistent cutting. Use it for nymph wing cases, caddis backs and body covers where a mottled printed finish is part of the intended construction.
Construction and use
Cut a strip or wing-case shape while the sheet is on its backing, then peel the backing away. Tie the piece in at the rear, stretch it over the shaped body and secure it at the front. Stretching reduces the sheet width, so apply steady tension rather than a sudden pull. Either face may be placed outward according to the desired finish. Trim the excess only after the front tie-in is complete, keeping the printed pattern aligned across the top of the body.
