Wapsi Wooly Bugger Chenille
Wapsi Wooly Bugger Chenille is dense Antron chenille mixed with pearl mylar tinsel for building Woolly Bugger-style fly bodies. Its continuous construction makes it possible to form a full streamer body efficiently while retaining a fibrous surface with a pearl accent.
Construction and use
Before winding, expose a short section of the core by sweeping the fibres aside, then tie that core firmly to the hook shank. Wind the chenille in adjacent turns, brushing the fibres back before each turn. Keep the wraps close without compressing them excessively so the finished body retains its dense profile. The material is intended primarily for Woolly Bugger bodies, and it can also be used in other streamers that require a compact fibrous body with a pearl element. Secure the final turn by again exposing the core, tie it down, and trim away the excess.
