Wild Boar Hair
Wild Boar Hair consists of loose, stiff, naturally tapered wild-boar bristles. It is used for feelers, tails, wing supports, legs and other structural details where the tier needs a clearly defined line.
Construction and use
Select bristles of a similar length and keep their natural taper aligned. Remove loose material from the butt ends, even the bundle and secure it with a few loose thread turns before tightening. Control the number of fibres in a tail and set bristles symmetrically when making wing supports. Short sections can be moistened and shaped when a formed body or segment is required.
- Material: stiff, naturally tapered wild-boar bristles.
- Form: loose fibres selected by length and thickness.
